As part of compliance with the ICANN Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) 2013 Section 3.7.7.11 and the Whois Accuracy Program Specification (WAPS), we would like to remind you about the obligation to verify domain registration data.
🔎 What you need to know:
- Every newly registered domain or domain with updated primary contact details (name, email, phone number) must go through an email verification process.
- Registrants are required to complete the verification within 15 calendar days by clicking the verification link sent to their email.
- If the registrant fails to verify within this timeframe, the domain will be suspended (inactive, DNS will not resolve) until the verification is successfully completed.
✅ What Resellers should do:
- Kindly pass this information along to your clients.
- Ensure registrants check their inbox for the verification email and click the confirmation link provided by our system.
- If they encounter any issues (e.g., email not received or link expired), our team is ready to assist by resending the verification link.
📌 Policy Reference (RAA 2013 – Section 3.7.7.11 & WAPS):
"Registrar must validate and verify registrant contact information. If the registrant does not complete the verification process within 15 (fifteen) days of the request, the registrar must suspend or delete the domain name until the information is successfully verified."
Your continued support as a valued Reseller is essential to ensuring a smooth verification process and maintaining the active status of domains under your account in full compliance with ICANN policies.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment in maintaining compliance with ICANN requirements.
Warm regards,
The ResellerCamp Team
